Baseball Season off to a great start

As the year 2023 kicks off, so does baseball season.  The boys played their second scrimmage on February 8th, taking a win against Marshall. Jax Legrand and Dylan Tanguma both hit doubles;  Reid Nicolau did a fantastic job pitching; and Mark Jacob made it on base every at bat. The final score for the scrimmage was 9-1.

On Saturday February 11, the team is hosting a Warrior Day from 9:30am -12:30 pm. The event will include batting practice, Inner squad, and Home-Run Derby/ Hit-A-Thon. All future Warriors are invited and all who are interested in attending.

“I’m excited for the future builders of this school to come; and, I’m excited to be out there and see how they do,” Noah Morales said.

Many of the players are thrilled to see the younger players who will soon fill the team.

“I’m excited to see and to see the incoming Warriors who will carry on the legacy,” Dylan Tanguma (junior) said.

Last year the team only consisted of two grades, freshmen and sophomores, and still took victories against teams of all four grades. This year, the team will have several returning players, more ecstatic to play more than ever.

“The whole team is excited for the season to start and ready to show the other teams that we are not to be underestimated,” Dylan said.
