Show Review: Tim Burton’s Wednesday
The number one spot in Netflix’s top 10 movies/shows is filled by a spinoff of a classic 1964 and 1991 The Addams Family called Wednesday.
The show stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams and has many other familiar faces like Christina Ricci (the original Wednesday of the 1991 film), Gwendoline Christie (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay), Jamie McShane (Avengers) and Riki Lindhome (The Big Bang Theory). This show is a supernatural comedy horror and focuses primarily on the young Addams family member, Wednesday. There are eight action and humor packed episodes in this first season.
The plot centers on Wednesday’s experience while attending a school called Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s school time does not go through the normal experience that any girl would, especially when she learns of her parents’ dark past at the academy.
This show has everything. We’ve got romance, horror, murder mystery, supernatural, competition, teen drama, and comedy – and also can’t forget the major plot-twists that will blow your mind.
